Not that kind of live stream. I am far too video shy for that. But my Live Stream is my new work, titled "Live Stream".I am happy to share this with you because it really a touchstone piece what I do for others, and I have done for myself. As you know art is widely known as very therapeutic for the mind, heart and soul. Myself I started in cognitive therapies, and moved in to Master Coaching with therapeutic arts.
Myself, I am a survivor of tragic events that have happened to me throughout a lifetime. It really hasn't been the past few years I have felt comfortable in society to just even say, "I am a victim."Because in not so distant past, women were questioned, and made to feel bad as victims. This is when I turned to paint, and canvas.
Therapeutic arts is a tool to cope, it's not clinical like art therapy. I utilizes these therapeutic methods to deal with organizing my thoughts that weigh me down. I now teach others how to use these powerful tools! I also create paintings for other utilising these tools. Because I know and feel everyone deserves a visual representation of healing and expression.
I do this for those who want to be able to look at a piece of art that is so uniquely them, and feel harmony.
Sometimes in the studio I will put music on in the background, I sometimes dance and create work. But there are the times in complete silence I can really listen to my heart. That is where the painting "Live Stream" came from. For over a week every morning I was able to just quietly go to work. It was a stream of consciousness about my own life. An on going masterpieces with mistakes, anguish, and celebrations. This piece presents windows of opportunity to create a new path. There are also moments of attempting to cover up mistakes, but evidence of life is still evident. Forever to be seen, and learn from. There is visual meaning in the moments where I have attempted to go back and revisit the path and try to recreate a moment. But it will never be the same as the first, but yet a lesson to be learned, create new moments, with essence of the moment.
